The 70 voices of Birmingham Choral Union, under their conductor Colin Baines, return to the Elgar Hall with a concert of fine Baroque pieces, together with a professional chamber orchestra and four soloists.

Handel is represented by the Dettingen Te Deum and his Ode for the Birthday of Queen Anne, and the programme is completed by a setting of Psalm 121 by Telemann, which deserves to be much better known.

This is a rare opportunity to experience the splendours of two composers at the height of their powers.

What a way to spend a summer evening. We look forward to seeing you there.
