In the first concert of a three day residency, the BBC National Orchestra of Wales and Martyn Brabbins celebrate a range of composers with strong local links – from Cheltenham’s Holst and Highnam Court’s Parry to Howells and Higgins, both brought up in the Forest of Dean a century apart. After the acclaim of his 2017 Cheltenham performances, Sheku Kanneh-Mason makes a welcome return with Elgar’s Cello Concerto.
