Undoubtedly one of the most musically diverse violinists in the world today, Steve Bingham is internationally renowned for his work as leader of the Bingham String Quartet and for his solo recitals on violin and electric violin. His solo recitals involve an eclectic mix of violin, electric violin and live looping, playing a wide variety of music from Pachelbel to The Beatles!

In this concert Steve presents music by a range of composers and arrangers he has collaborated with recently, including Phil Toms and Rebecca Faith. The concert forms part of Series 8 of Borough New Music, which also hosts concerts at the same venue and time on 22 May (cello, electric guitar and piano with Audrey Riley, James Woodrow and Clare Simmonds) and 29 May (featuring the work of Matthew Taylor and Sally Beamish, performed by Joseph Spooner and Rebeca Omordia). Admission is free to all concerts, and light refreshments are served afterwards.
