Founded in 2006 in Cologne, Germany, the Chamber Philharmonic Europe engages talented young musicians from 18 European nations, aiming to give these promising artists the opportunity for further development through a wide-ranging repertoire. They have performed in many concert halls and opera houses throughout Europe including Paris, Brussels, Amsterdam, Edinburgh and London's Conway Hall. Each year, a group of its players tour small venues across the country, taking classical music to the far-flung reaches of the kingdom. We are delighted to be welcoming them back to Scunthorpe after their successful concert two years ago.

'The capacity audience was clearly delighted by the performance which was a rare chance to hear a European classical ensemble in a small rural venue. Warm sustained applause was rewarded by encores of Ástor Piazzolla’s Oblivion and a Russian jazzy number, particularly relished by the “dancing” double bass player.' David Smythe, Bachtrack following concert in Birnam Arts Centre near Dunkeld, Scotland
