Michelle Candotti was born in Livorno (Italy). She obtained the piano Diploma with top marks while attending Verona's “Dell’Abaco” Conservatory of Verona at the age of fourteen under the direction of Prof. Laura Palmieri. She has participated in many piano competitions, winning a number of them: among many, she won the 'XV Competition for the Best Italian Musician’s Graduates 2009/10', which led her to recording a CD in September 2011. Michelle also won the second prize ex-equo (first not given) and Audience prize at 'Madesimo International Piano Competition', and the second prize and Audience prize at the 'International Piano Competition A. Scriabin'. In addition, she won the second prize and the 'Rotary Club Award' for the youngest finalist at 'XXIII International Competition Chopin Rome', where she also received the medal of the President of the Italian Senate.
Michelle has played with numerous orchestras internationally, including: the Philharmonic Orchestra of Bacau, directed by M° O. Balan; the Symphonic Orchestra Città di Grosseto, directed by M° G. Emilsson; the Royal Philharmonic Concerto Orchestra, directed by M° B. Wright; the Orchestra of the Goldoni's Foundation, directed by M° M. Menicagli; and the Orchestra Nova Amadeus directed by M° N. Samale.
She has featured in many recitals, touching the Italian cities of Viareggio, Piombino, Lucca, Imola, and Verona, playing in notable concert halls like the Olimpico Theatre in Vicenza, and Bologna's Manzoni theatre. Internationally, Michelle has also given performances at the Chopin hall in Warsaw, and Hastings' Stables Theatre. Appearances at international festivals include: 'Listen to Ciociaria'; Taggia's international 'Musical Meetings' festival; Ghislandi di Crema festival; Pordenone's Alto Livenza festival; and Dino Ciani's festival. As a younger student and young talent, Michelle was invited to feature in a concerto held in Debussy's natal house in Saint-Germain en Laye, Paris.
She is now studying under the supervision of M° D. Alexeev at the Royal College of Music, with M° E. Pace at the Imola International Piano Academy and with M° C. Palese.
