Liz Chant Bursary Award Finals

Four talented young singers from Nottingham City and County are to compete for a prize of £1000 towards their musical studies.

Grace Bale, James Beddoe, Sarah Carlin and Emily Hodkinson will perform before a panel of professional musicians in the final of a competition organized by Nottingham Bach Choir.

The award has been funded by a legacy from Elizabeth Chant, who was a member of the choir from 1966 to 2015. During her working life Liz was a dedicated teacher of primary school children in several City schools including in Balloon Wood and Haydn Primary in Sherwood.

Interested members of the public are very welcome at the final, which will take place on Sunday April 29th 2018 at 2.15 pm at St John’s Church, Mansfield Road, Carrington. The event is free and no booking is necessary.
