Dainty Fine Byrd | Herdwyck Consort (vocal ensemble)

From bluebirds to owls, doves, swallows and nightingales, the Herdwyck Consort's entertaining hour-long programme celebrates not only all things feathered, but also the music of the great English composer William Byrd.

Muncaster Castle, home to the Hawk and Owl Centre, is the perfect venue in which to hear this wonderful array of music from the sixteenth to the twenty-first centuries, including music by Stanford, Gibbons, Holst and Parry.

Tickets for the concert include all day free entry to Muncaster Castle and gardens and the amazing flying shows (11.30am, 2pm & Wild Heron Feed at 4pm.) Complimentary light refreshments will be available in the Castle Great Hall from 4.15pm. Concert ticket holders will also have special access to the peace and quiet of the gardens and bluebell woods in the evening once the concert is over and all the day visitors have gone home.
