Described as magnetic, sparkling and lyrical the Aurea Quartet is emerging as one of the UK’s most exciting and dynamic young ensembles. They have performed live on BBC Radio 3 (both In Tune and Proms Plus) and on BBC Radio Scotland's Classics Unwrapped. Winner of numerous prestigious music awards, the quartet was awarded a place as International Young Artist quartet at the Royal Northern College of Music for the year 2016-2017, where they played regularly to Petr Prause, Catherine Yates, and Donald Grant.

This is the fourth in the 47th season of nine concerts organised by Holmes Chapel Music Society.

The concerts regularly attract audiences of up to 250. The atmosphere is friendly and informal. We go out of our way to welcome new members.
