Haru Ushigusa performs regularly in the UK and Japan as a concert violinist and a chamber musician with a wide range of repertoire. Her latest concert and recital venues include, Burgh House and Hampstead Museum, All Saints Church Orpington, Harmony Tower Bösendorfer in Tokyo, Art Tower Mito, Hitachiota City Palty Hall, Tokai Art Cultural Centre.

Haru was selected as a semi-finalist of the Johannes Brahms Competition 2012 and the Sendai International Music Competition 2013. She performed Bartók's Violin concerto No 1 Sz 36 and Mozart's Violin Concerto No 2 in D major K 211 at Sendai Youth Cultural Centre with the Sendai Philharmonic Orchestra under the button of Pascal Verrot.

Haru was born in Japan. She graduated from the Toho Gakuen Music High School. In 2006, Haru made her professional concert debut at Kioi Hall Tokyo as an honor of highest achiever of Toho Gakuen Music High School. She entered the Royal Academy of Music in 2008 and given many academic prizes including entrance scholarship, the James Wright Award, and Foundation Award. She graduated from the Royal Academy of music in 2013 with the highest distinction. She learned violin with Tomotada Soh and previously with Jyunko Isono at Toho Gakuen Music High School. Haru also studied viola with James Sleigh at the Royal Academy of Music. During her studies at RAM she was supported by the Rohm Music Foundation for 4 years. Haru has given masterclass opportunities with Maxim Vengerov, Tomas Brandis and Koichirou Harada.

Haru also enjoys the performance as a chamber musician. She founded the Dulcinea Quartet 2008 and regularly performs in and around London. In 2016, the quartet was given a place for the Junior Fellowship at the Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance. The quartet will be on their 3rd Japan Tour from September 2016. The concert venues include Tokyo, Yokohama, Shiga, Ibaraki and Aomori.
