An exquisite evening of Christmas music from the golden era of the Baroque including festive music for solo soprano sung by Mhairi Lawson. As a soloist Mhairi has performed in opera houses and concert halls worldwide including English National Opera, Les Arts Florissants, The Gabrieli Consort and The Scottish Chamber Orchestra, Intricate and flamboyant arias by Bach, Handel and Vivaldi feature alongside instrumental concertos performed by principals of the Bristol Ensemble. The programme includes the ever-popular Christmas Concerto by Corelli as well as Bach’s exquisitely beautiful Air on the G string.
