The opening concert of the 2018 William Alwyn Festival affords the chance to hear works by William Alwyn which have not been heard in over eighty years! Also, a rarely performed piece by Leonard Bernstein (marking the centenary of his birth) sits alongside a new work by South African composer John Joubert with a glorious string quartet by Dvorák completing the programme. So do come along and be surprised and delighted by this lovely programme of music.
