Tredici Chamber Choir's aim is to perform some of the finest sacred music ever written to the highest standards and strive to allow our audience to hear us, as far as possible, without having to buy a ticket
Tredici is resident at the church of St Giles-in-the-Fields in Holborn. Our association with this beautiful 1734 Henry Flitcroft-designed church dates back to the choir’s formation, in 2004, when Richard Thomas was invited to assemble a group of singers for the Leprosy Mission's carol service. There were Thirteen singers at that first event – hence the name.
Over the past nine years the choir's membership has evolved into the current group of 32 - all of whom are experienced singers drawn from a variety of leading London choirs including the Philharmonia Chorus, BBC Symphony Chorus and London Symphony Chorus.
Our wide repertoire encompasses sacred music from the 16th to the 21st centuries and past concerts have featured masterpieces by such renowned composers as Monteverdi, de Padilla, Guerrero, Victoria, Tallis, Purcell, and Byrd through to Howells, Rachmaninov, Britten, Tavener and MacMillan.
