Beethoven in Wales 3 - Mary Hofman (violin) and Richard Ormrod (piano)

The third of three concerts in the 'Beethoven in Wales' cycle of his ten violin and piano sonatas includes a newly commissioned work by the US based Welsh born composer Hilary Tann. The 'Beethoven in Wales' project was launched by Rhyl Music Club in October 2018 and involves performances of the sonatas in eight other venues around the country by North Wales based duo of Mary Hofman and Richard Ormrod. It includes workshops and talks with the objective of bringing together composers, artists and music clubs to celebrate the musical life of Wales. The commissioning of new works by three Welsh female composers is aimed at celebrating some of the wonderful but largely under-represented female voices coming from Wales.

Hilary Tann will give a pre-concert talk at the venue at 6.30pm.
