This year The Farrant Singers celebrate their 60th anniversary. The concert marks this occasion as well as commemorating the centenary of the ending of the First World War. The two new pieces written especially for this occasion are 'The Elixir', a setting of a George Herbert poem by Alec Roth and Alison Cameron's interpretation of World War 1 poetry, 'A Foreign Field', set for soprano solo, choir and alto recorder.
