Hong Kong-born flautist Chun Yin Marco Leung is a scholar of the R C Lee Centenary Scholarship. He is currently pursuing his Master of Music at the Royal College of Music, London, under the tutelage of Katie Bedford and Sue Thomas. Marco was awarded first-class honour for his BA in Music at the Chinese University of Hong Kong where he studied with Ivy Chuang. He has played as principal flute in orchestras like RCM orchestras, Illyrian Ensemble and Pro Arte Orchestra of Hong Kong, and collaborated with Chung Chi Orchestra as concerto soloist. Alongside, Marco is also enthusiastic about piccolo and baroque flute playing, both of which he is studying with Stewart McIlwham and Rachel Brown. Additionally, Marco works as an active conductor with particular interest in wind orchestral music. As a member of The Arc, Marco will be performing new works written for flute and piano in coming recitals as part of the duo’s recent project.
Hong Kong pianist Wiiliam Kat-Ho Fu is known for his deep understanding, maturity and warm sound in his playing. He is currently studying piano with Professor Carole Presland in the Royal Academy of Music as a Master of Music student. During his study in the Academy, he got a high recommendation in the Lilian Davies Prize, a “mature and serious” performance of a Beethoven Sonata, which brought him a further concert opportunity in 2018 at Norden Farm Arts Centre in Maidenhead, United Kingdom. His performance then won critical acclaim. It is followed by a sought-after Janet Duff Piano Recital Prize in Royal Academy of Music later.
William’s mentors include Imogen Cooper, Robert Levin, James Kirby, Pascal Devoyon, Giuseppe Albanese, Danny Driver and Thomas Rosenkranz. As an active collaborative pianist for chamber works, together with flautist Chun Yin Marco Leung they founded duo The Arc and engage in recitals across United Kingdom.
