A weird and wonderful journey through the beautiful and bizarre world of Arnold Schoenberg’s Pierrot Lunaire. This programme interweaves the original movements of Pierrot with works by composers who influenced Schoenberg, illuminating the musical inspirations that gave rise to this unforgettable masterpiece.

Based in London, Alluna was founded in 2013 by a group of performers from the celebrated Park Lane Group Young Artists scheme. Each member of the ensemble is an experienced soloist, and is particularly passionate about bringing an originality and dramatic intensity to each performance.

Pre-concert talk | Joseph Houston, 5:30pm in the Brockway Room

Joseph Houston leads an introduction to the evening's programme, focussing on Schoenberg's Pierrot Lunaire, 'sprechstimme' and how their innovative programme is put together.

Post-concert talk:

Alluna Ensemble will return to the stage for a post-concert question and answer session, offering the opportunity to ask the musicians questions about all elements of the rehearsal and performance process.
