  1. Requiem Mass in D minor K 626 - Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, completed by Franz Xaver Süssmayr
  2. Insanae et vanae curae - (Franz) Joseph Haydn
  3. Stabat Mater - Emanuele d'Astorga

The Oxford Pro Musica Singers perform Mozart's sublime Requiem Mass in the spectacular Sheldonian Theatre.

Mozart's Requiem Mass was composed right at the end of his life – and still unfinished at the point of his death. It is one of the best-known pieces in the classical music repertoire, and has been used in dozens of films, including Eyes Wide Shut, Under Suspicion, The Big Lebowski, X-Men 2 and, of course, Amadeus. We will be joined by Oxford Sinfonia and soloists from the Royal Academy of Music, and all in one of Oxford's most iconic venues, the Sheldonian Theatre.

The programme is completed with Haydn's famous Insanae et vanae curae and Astorga's Stabat Mater, a setting that deserves more recognition after falling into obscurity in the 20th Century.
