  2. Concerto for Piano and Orchestra No 3 in D minor Op 30 - Sergey Rachmaninov
  3. Symphony No 5 in D minor Op 47 - Dmitry Shostakovich

Join us on 16th February for a concert of 20th century classics. We start with three pieces from Prokofiev's evocative Cinderella suite, and we are then joined by noted Rachmaninov specialist, Alan Brown, for Rachmaninov's majestic 3rd concerto. The concert concludes with Shostakovich Symphony no 5, a piece that charts the struggle for artistic freedom in Soviet Russia.
