Concertos and Curiosities: unexpected works by JS Bach, WF Bach and GP Telemann

An evening of unexpected delights. Two very different harpsichord concertos from Johann Sebastian Bach - the brooding darkness and intensity of the D minor concerto juxtaposed with the open radiance of the A major concerto. Alongside these two masterpieces, a zany and playful Suite by JSBach’s friend and colleague Telemann, 'La Bizarre', and an unexpected and intimate suite, most likely by Bach’s eldest son, Wilhelm Friedemann Bach.

Director and Harpsichord soloist Christopher Bucknall
