  1. Symphony No 8 in G Op 88 - Antonín Dvorák
  2. Academic Festival Overture Op 80 - Johannes Brahms
  3. Four Short Pieces for Orchestra - Roger Cawkwell

Come and celebrate the Spring with Holborn Community Orchestra. a London amateur orchestra performing since 2016. We'll be playing Dvorák's cheerful 8th symphony, which remains one of the composer's most original works. Brahms's warm Academic Festival Overture was jokingly composed as a blend of various drinking songs, and remains a short masterpiece of humour and technique. Roger Cawkwell is honoring Holborn Community Orchestra with his Four Short Pieces for Orchestra, specifically re-orchestrated for this concert.
