A programme drawing from the deep wells of English and Baltic choral tradition, at pivotal moments in history: the Tudor Reformation and the tide of ‘singing revolutions’ in the late 20 century.

Where Ugis Praulinš’ boisterous ‘Riga Mass’ electrifies, William Byrd’s ‘Ave Verum’ will soothe. Thomas Tallis, Vytautas Miškinis, Pawel Lukaszewski and Eriks Ešenvalds complete the picture – composers living centuries apart but connected by their ability to elevate our souls, even in turbulent times.
