To celebrate the 400th anniversary of the birth of the extraordinary musician Barbara Strozzi, internationally renowned soprano Elin Manahan Thomas joins forces with acclaimed harpsichordist Alastair Ross for this captivating musical exploration of Strozzi’s life and work, along with those of two of Strozzi’s contemporaries, Claudio Monteverdi and Giacomo Carissimi. Manahan Thomas is internationally recognised for her ravishing tone and her mastery of the full range of music across the classical canon. She is perhaps best known for singing at the 2012 Olympics Opening Ceremony and the bridal entrance of the Duchess of Sussex.
