Join the Amadeus Orchestra this summer for their annual visit to Exeter Cathedral with a sumptuous evening of Russian Classics. Prize-winning Russian pianist Mariya Kostenko makes her debut with the orchestra with Rachmaninov’s perfect little gem, Rhapsody on a theme of Paganini. The orchestra will dazzle with the tale of Scheherazade putting off her own execution by telling the Sultan 1001 fantastic tales until he abandoned his sanguinary resolve. Shostakovich’s eighth symphony rounds off a perfect evening of stunning music in a beautiful setting.
