  1. Jawnuta - Stanislaw Moniuszko

Olga Maroszek returns to London to appear in the title role of the fortune-telling Gypsy, Jawnuta, in Moniuszko’s opera based on a Gypsy themed poem by Kniaznin. Supported by Jolanta Wagner (Chicha) and a complete cast in a new production for the Polish Opera in London by Feliks Tarnawski whose London credits include Straszny Dwor, Hrabina, Paria and Fliss.

Jawnuta is an Gypsy fortune teller who, many years ago, kidnapped a child and raised her as her own daughter, Chicha.

Olga Maroszek has been a soloist at the Lodz Opera Theatre since 2010 and sings principal parts in operas by Puccini, Verdi, Moniuszko, Mozart among others including the leading role in Bizet’s Carmen and she has appeared as a guest in Poznan and Bialystok. This is her 3rd production in London.

Jolanta Wagner, as well as being a soloist at the Bydgosc Opera Nova, is a regular guest in Poznan, Krakow and the National Opera in Warsaw where most recently she sang in a new production of Manru.
