Tenebrae – Russian Treasures

Russian choral music has been a major feature of Tenebrae’s repertoire since their inception. Rated by Classic FM as current masters of the Russian sound, their Thaxted Festival appearances are always hugely popular, and we are delighted to welcome them back after their last appearance in 2017. Along with major works by Rachmaninov and Tchaikovsky, we will hear lesser-known gems by other Russian composers. Conductor Nigel Short sang with the King’s Singers and is now an award-winning conductor with an enviable reputation for recordings and live performances.
