500 years after the death of Leonardo da Vinci, a leading authority on the Italian polymath leads a celebration of his legacy and vision. Professor Martin Kemp, the University of Oxford's Emeritus Professor of Art History, presents this concert at the Oxford Town Hall which includes the most adored series of musical paintings in history: Mussorgsky's Pictures at an Exhibition. Marios Papadopoulos and the Orchestra begin with the Three Botticelli Pictures by master of orchestral colour Ottorino Respighi and a specially commissioned new work from one of the University's tutors in Composition, Manuel Martinez-Burgos.
