Heathfield Choral Society's annual May concert includes Brahms's Requiem, to be sung in English, Vaughan Williams's Five Mystical Songs and Fauré's Cantique de Jean Racine. Thomas Niesser is the soloist in the Mystical Songs and he is joined by Ella de Jongh in the Requiem. In addition, The Camerata of London will be playing Elgar's Serenade for Strings. This concert is the last to be conducted by Brian Newman who, after 23 years, is handing on the baton to Sebastian Charlesworth.
