On Friday 7th June at 7.30pm, in the heart of London, the walls of Southwark Cathedral will resound to the music of Beethoven, Chopin, Gershwin and Liszt played by British concert pianist, Warren Mailley-Smith, under the warm flicker of candlelight.

Described as 'Stunning' by Classic FM and 'The embodiment of the modern romantic concert pianist’ by Musical Opinion, this outstanding pianist is a favourite with audiences and venues alike. Warren Mailley-Smith has performed for the British Royal Family on many occasions and has given acclaimed solo recitals at Carnegie and Wigmore Halls.

This evening's concert promises to take the listener on a spell-binding journey of moods and emotions. Audiences will be treated to a programme full of poetry and virtuosic display, from Debussy's Clair de lune, to Liszt's La campanella in addition to a number of celebrated works by Chopin. The evening concludes with Gershwin's ever-popular Rhapsody in Blue, with its powerful melodies, driving rhythms and glittering piano writing in this compelling kaleidoscope of jazz and classical influences.
