  1. Messiah (Watkins Shaw Edition) HWV 56 - George Frideric Handel

Leeds Festival Chorus performs Messiah every three years, in the belief that this will ensure that this delightful oratorio is fresh and new each time.

Although the concert takes place in the Victorian splendour of Leeds Town Hall, there will be no adherence to the Victorian tradition of assembling a chorus and orchestra of gargantuan size on the concert stage. Conductor Simon Wright will ensure, as in previous years, that the performance will be sensitive, zestful and inspiring.

Please note that it starts at 7pm
