Antonin Dvorák's Mass in D major is a gloriously lyrical work – a Proms audience of 6000 burst into applause in the middle of the opening Kyrie.

John Rutter’s setting of the Requiem needs no introduction with its brilliant joyful ‘Sanctus’ and haunting 'Out of the deep'. It enjoyed 500 performances in the US alone in the first six months of publication.
