Beginning with Respighi’s Marcia festiva, better known as the theme from Going for a Song, a bird theme flutters through the first half of this concert. Rare delights include two pieces from Jehan Alain, and to conclude, the most frequently requested piece at the Town Hall: Widor’s Toccata in F.
