  1. The Planets Op 32 - Gustav Holst

featuring the East of England Singers

2019 marks the 50th anniversary of the Apollo 11 mission to the moon, so what better way to mark the occasion than with a performance of Holst's ever-popular Planets Suite. It reflects the composer's interest in astrology, rather than in astronomy, so each movement depicts a different aspect of the human condition.

We are grateful to the University of Nottingham School of Physics and Astronomy for their assistance with the visual presentation of this concert.
