  1. Overture, from The Creatures of Prometheus Op 43 - Ludwig van Beethoven
  2. Umpteenth Violin Concerto - Django Bates
  3. Concerto for Violin and Orchestra in D Op 61 - Ludwig van Beethoven, with cadenzas by Django Bates

Django Bates is as comfortable in the intimate surroundings of Ronnie Scott’s as he is in any large concert hall. Whether writing for a small jazz ensemble or a vast symphony orchestra his voice remains inimitable and distinctive. A founder member of Loose Tubes he quickly gained a reputation as a startlingly original improviser and composer with the ability to travel effortlessly between the jazz world and the classical. His Umpteenth Violin Concerto was composed in 2004 and will be performed here by Thomas Gould. Thomas also performs the Beethoven concerto with cadenzas written by Django Bates.
