The fourth generation of a musical family, Tatjana was born in London in 1997 and began playing the violin when she was three. She was admitted to London’s Royal Academy of Music (Junior Department) and, at age seven, she recorded Massenet’s “Meditation” for an installation art exhibition by Turner Prize-winner, Gillian Wearing. Tatjana lived in Singapore for three years and during this time, aged 10, she enjoyed her first solo opportunity with orchestra at the Yong Siew Toh Conservatory where she played Mendelssohn’s Violin Concerto.
In 2008, she gained entry to the Yehudi Menuhin School, studying with Professor Natasha Boyarsky and, in 2010, won a first prize at the Andrea Postacchini International Violin Competition, Italy. When, at age 15, Tatjana was accepted as a pupil to Professor Boris Kuschnir, she divided her time between Vienna, for her musical studies at Universität für Musik und darstellende Kunst, Graz and continuing academic studies at home in Surrey. During 2014, Tatjana added further violin studies with Professor Boris Kucharsky at Junior Guildhall, London.
Her extensive concerto repertoire is complemented with frequent travel to International Music Festivals, including The Verbier Festival Academy (Switzerland), IMS Prussia Cove (UK), Four Seasons Chamber Music Festival (USA) and Ravinia Steans Music Institute (USA). She has enjoyed chamber music and classes with numerous Masters – most recently with Menahem Pressler, Kim Kashkashian, Ana Chumachenco, Pamela Frank and Midori Goto.
In September 2015, Tatjana won a President’s Distinction Award scholarship to study at New England Conservatory, Boston with Professor Miriam Fried. She is a multiple prize-winner from international competitions, including Tunbridge Wells (UK), Henri Marteau (Germany), semi-finalist at the 2018 Singapore International Violin Competition and winner of the Manfred Grommek Prize at Kronberg Academy (Germany).
Recent performances include concertos with The City Chamber Ensemble (UK) and the Odessa National Opera Theatre Orchestra (Ukraine), the Mellon Chamber Music Festival in Davis (USA) and recital performances in London during summer 2018 with pianist, Yundu Wang. Other recent highlights have included an appearance with the Evnin Rising Stars programme, led by Pamela Frank at the Caramoor Music Center (NY), as well as her Grommek Prize recital in Bad Soden (Germany) and a performance of the Brahms Double Concerto for violin and cello with Eunghee Cho and UC Davis Symphony Orchestra (California.)
Thanks to the generous support of a London benefactor and by kind arrangement with Florian Leonhard Fine Violins, Tatjana plays a GB Guadagnini violin ('ex-Kavakos') made in Turin, c1785.
Ljubica Stojanovic started to play piano at the age of 6. She obtained a Masters at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama in London, with Prof. Caroline Palmer. After that, she was awarded a Fellowship to study with Prof. Ronan O’Hora and received mentoring sessions from violinist David Takeno.
Ljubica was the 1st prize-winner of over 20 national and international competitions, including the Windsor International Piano Competition in 2015, the Grand Prix International Competition for young pianists in Geneva, the National Competition of the Republic of Serbia in Belgrade and the Competition of Young Yugoslavian pianists. She also won the 2nd prize at the 5th Memorial Isidor Bajic in Novi Sad in Serbia.
She collaborated with the Witold Lutoslawski Philharmonia from Wroclav, soloists from the Philharmonia Orchestra in London,the Serbian Radio Television Orchestra, the National Symphony Orchestra in Belgrade. In 2015, Ljubica became an artist for the Concordia Foundationin London and for KNS Classical Record Label in Spain.
Ljubica regularly performs across Europe. She is a very active musician who performs regularly as a soloist as well as with different Chambers.
