Sitar player Vijay Jagtap, one of the most highly acclaimed Britain-based sitar artists, returns following his popular and enjoyable concerts for the Dorking Concertgoers in recent years. Renowned for both his technical excellence and brilliance on strings, Vijay is a committed artist who infuses sheer magic in his sitar performance. He has given several BBC television and radio performances and mesmerised listeners with his brilliant performances, beautiful compositions, and in sharing his musical legacy. Together with performers playing the tabla, tanpura and guitar, through Vijay we can experience the art and traditions of a different and very rich culture.

Vijay Jagtap will play traditional ragas from North India, including a series of improvisations based on traditional Indian classical themes.
