  2. Concerto for organ, strings and timpani in G minor - Francis Poulenc

Our spring concert opens with Elgar’s Enigma Variations, 14 musical sketches of the composer’s close friends. We showcase the mighty Worthing Wurlitzer in Poulenc’s Organ Concerto, a grand, ambitious work accompanied by string orchestra and timpani. This is followed by Brahms's rich and melodious Symphony No 4.
