From Venice to Vaughan Williams, this concert celebrates the surround sound of San Marco in Venice where the polychoral style began. The style was taken up by J S Bach in his motets and much later by Vaughan Williams with his Mass for double choir. The acclaimed London chamber choir Canticum, conducted by Mark Forkgen, give these pieces the full treatment in the magnificent interior, by Sir Christopher Wren, of St Stephen Walbrook in the City of London.
