  6. So wünsch ich mir zu guter Letzt BWV 502 - Johann Sebastian Bach
  7. Fugue, from Prelude and Fugue in E flat major, 'St Anne' BWV 552 - Johann Sebastian Bach

The first part of the first word of Bach’s motet BWV 225 is pronounced ‘zing’. That’s all you need to know about this piece. In addition to ‘zing’ it has zest, zip, pep, and vim. It is a truly amazing piece of music, the most powerful stimulant known to mankind, and completely legal.

Vaughan Williams’s love affair with 16th century music is played out – or rather sung out – in his beautiful Mass in G minor.

Both these major works are scored for double choir, and the programme is completed by four Bach songs and two organ pieces.

Glorious music, fabulous acoustic – not to be missed!
