Elgar wrote of 'The Dream of Gerontius', "This is the best of me".
Completed in 1900, this monumental work is perhaps the greatest choral masterpiece of the 20th century.

Featuring the acclaimed Southbank Sinfonia and internationally renowned soloists Catherine Wyn-Rogers, Robert Murray and Thomas Allen. Sir Thomas Allen has recently retired from the Royal Opera House after forty years. This performance at Coventry Cathedral and, in the following week at Westminster Cathedral, will be his final appearances with the Parliament Choir.
