Elena Toponogova is a young emerging musician from Siberia based in London. A pianist with an intelligent approach to all she does, she has a particular interest in Russian repertoire.
Elena recently received her Master of Performance degree at the Royal College of Music with Norma Fisher. Her studies are supported by the Norah Seary Trust, Altrusa Careers Trust, the Future of Russia Foundation and Tsukanov Family Foundation.
She has worked with such pianists as Dirk Mommertz (Faure quartet), Grigory Gruzman and Irina Chukovskaya.
Elena has performed as a soloist and chamber musician in the UK, Germany and Russia and appeared in many prestigious concert halls such as V and A Museum, St Martin’s in the fields, Regent Hall, Rachmaninov Hall of Moscow State Tchaikovsky Conservatory and Amaryllis Fleming Hall (London).
Elena has more than 13 years of teaching experience and currently works at Windsor piano school and Tchaikovsky London music school as well as teaching privatly. Her students won prizes at many different festivals such as Ascot music festival, Windsor piano festival and Battersea piano festival. One of Elena’s best students recently got a place and a scholarship at the Trinity Laban conservatoire.
