A sparkling celebration of brass in the second instalment of Sheffield Music Academy's Professional Series!

As well as performing in over forty of their own concerts, the Sheffield Music Academy are now heading an exciting ‘Professional Series’ that sees international soloists and ensembles visit the Steel City to perform some of the best classical music. On Friday 22nd November, they’ll be welcoming Gold Medal Winner of the 2019 Royal Overseas League Music Competition Kris Garfitt.

The Guildhall graduate is bringing with him pianist Seri Dan. Also an award-winning musician, Seri is a dynamic and exceptional young pianist. She is currently studying at the High School of Music in Mannehim, where she is specialising in brass accompaniment.

This concert will be a true celebration of brass, with Kris performing a dynamic range of works from the likes of Weber, Brahms, Stojowski and Guilmant. Each piece will take the audience on an exciting journey of brass discovery.
