A concert of classical music by contemporary composers, three of whom – Adam Gorb, Julia Harding and Peter Hemsworth – are local to Macclesfield. It will be performed in one of Macclesfield most historic buildings, the parish church, by members of four local musical ensembles.

The Third Festival of Contemporary Music for All will take place across the UK and Europe over the weekend 7-8 March 2020, building on the successes of the 2016 and 2018 Festivals. As part of the Festival, King Edward Musical Society Macclesfield Contemporary Ensemble is organising a series of musical events on 7th March 2020 in Macclesfield’s parish church, one of Macclesfield’s most historic building, including workshops and a free informal concert.

King Edward Musical Society Macclesfield Contemporary Ensemble and Concert Band will be conducted by Julia Harding. The Music Centre's Adult Choir will be conducted by Sarah Williamson.
