Furness Bach Choir present this concert, 'Themes of Love and Loss'. Brahms's German Requiem is one of the standard large-scale choral pieces and we are pleased to be performing the version set for two-piano accompaniment with international pianists Anthony Hewitt and Martin Roscoe.

In contrast, Brahms's Liebeslieder Waltzes are more lyrical, being a collection of love songs said to be inspired by the composer's frustrated love for Clara Schumann, wife of composer Robert Schumann.
