Cancelled: Lunchtime Recital: The Anglo-American Duo

Praised for their ' solid technique imbued with great sensitivity' (Fanfare Magazine) the Anglo-American Duo has evolved into a renowned ensemble that regularly tours the Unites States and Europe. Formed in 2009 the duo specialises in music from the USA and UK. Comprised of American violinist Timothy Schwarz and British pianist Jane Beament the duo has performed throughout the USA, UK, Italy, Hungary, Austria, Greece and The Netherlands. They have also broadcast extensively in the USA and Europe. In 2018 they released their first CD entitled 'Anthems after Prometheus' on the Albany label which featured the music of British composer David Osbon. The 'Prometheus Sonata' featured in this concert was commissioned by the duo for the recording.

Individually they maintain an active performance and teaching schedule. Timothy Schwarz made his debut with the Philadelphia Orchestra aged just 9 and has recorded solo and chamber music albums for Naxos, EMI, Centaur and Marquis Classics. He is also Head of Strings at Rowan University in New Jersey. Jane Beament is a staff accompanist at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama and has recorded on the AMP and Music Chamber labels as well as broadcasts on BBC Radio 3, and radio stations in the USA.
