Fay Hield is celebrated as a singer who seems to have been born knowing how to carry a tune, but also with the rarer gift of instinctively knowing how to go straight to the heart of a song. Fay returns to the performing arena this May with the launch of her new solo album. Looking at traditional stories involving the otherworld of fairies, ghosts and the animal kingdom, the new project explores our emotional responses to the space between their realm and our own, working through the imagination to make things real.

“One of folk music’s most pre-eminent modern voices.” Mojo
