We’ll meet again with wind and words is a recital of clarinet, and poetry, about The Second World War. Accompanied by piano, it combines tunes of the period with poetry, weaving them into one continuous performance. The music featured in this recital are tunes made famous at the time such as As time goes by, A nightingale sang in Berkeley Square as well as songs immortalised by Vera Lynn. It includes a range of composers: Glenn Miller, Irving Berlin, Cole Porter and many others. Much of the programme consists of poems written by poets who served in the war, including Keith Douglas, Alun Lewis, Sidney Keyes, Spike Milligan as well as poetry written about The Blitz.
