Reiko Fujisa (piano) fuses the sensibilities of a musician raised in the Far East who trained in the West. Following study at the Musashino University in Tokyo she spent time in San Francisco and the UK, where she trained at Trinity College. With performances at London’s Southbank Centre, Wigmore Hall and King’s Place, around the UK and abroad, Reiko has established herself as a formidable virtuoso performer.

Crawford Logan (narrator) - the narrative will highlight the early influences on Beethoven, his innovative genius, and the effect he had on other pianists, composers and instrument makers of his day. Extracts from his letters and other sources will illustrate Beethoven’s personal thoughts and experiences, as well as his (sometimes shrewd) dealings. The exploration will encompass Czerny and Clementi through to Schubert, Liszt and Wagner. Music from all periods of Beethoven’s life will be featured alongside selected works by the composers and pianists whose lives and output were shaped by him, and who in turn became significant figures in the romantic era.
Crawford has worked for many years in theatres the length of the United Kingdom, including three West End shows, most recently 319 performances of 'The Woman in Black' at the Fortune Theatre Covent Garden, and overseas Melbourne, Washington DC and Hamburg. As a voice on radio, Crawford is well-known to BBC listeners as Paul Temple in the 'Paul Temple Adventures'. He has made over a thousand broadcasts, appeared astwo different characters in 'The Archers' and also directed the last live BBC radio play of the 20th century. He records talking books regularly for RNIB and audiobooks for Penguin, Naxos, MacMillan and others. On television, Crawford has appeared in number of well-worn favourites, including 'Dr Who', 'EastEnders', 'Secret Army' and 'Outlander'.
