Friend's International Violin Academy - Online Masterclass with Cihat Askin

Prize winner of the Menuhin and Flesch competitions, Cihat is a jury member for many international violin competitions across Europe, Asia, Africa, South America and the USA. (Observer tickets available)

His solo performances and recordings have received critical acclaim and his career has seen him collaborate with Warner Classics and CPO as a composer and arranger as well as a performer.

Founder of the Askin Ensemble, Cihat has served as Director of the Turkish State Music Conservatory, founder of MIAM (Advanced Research Music Centre) and has established an educational project called Cihat Askin and Little Friends (CAKA), which aims to support young talents and develop violin education throughout Turkey.

Our FIVA Masterclass series will be presented by an incredible line up of Internationally renowned violinists including: Pinchas Zukerman, Rodney Friend, Augustin Hadelich, Cihat Askin, Cho-Liang Lin, Joel Smirnoff and Yuzuko Horigome.
