The Living Orchestra - New Beginnings | Orchestra of the Swan

Orchestra of the Swan returns as the Living Orchestra following an absence of six months with a concert of celebration and thanksgiving. Appearing up close and in the round we present a programme ranging in tone from the pathos and introspection of Max Richter’s On the nature of Daylight via the irrepressible elegance of Jean-Philippe Rameau and culminating in the exquisite landscapes of Aaron Copland’s Appalachian Spring. We also feature the unjustly neglected work of African American composer Undine Smith Moore who was the granddaughter of slaves.
