BlackBox Ensemble presents a program of contemporary works that reflect on themes of loss and mourning, recorded at the Church of St. John’s in the Village in New York City.

BlackBox Ensemble is a New York City-based contemporary music ensemble devoted to using new music as a platform to explore the social and political issues of our time. Since their founding in the summer of 2018, the group has emerged as one of the rising groups in New York’s new music scene, earning a reputation for impactful performances rooted in thoughtful programming and musical excellence.
